Meeting with the English speaking guide at the airport in Budapest Transfer to the hotel where we check-in.
After a refreshing break we will take a walk through the jewels of the city, admiring sites like: the neo-gothic
Parliament, Saint Stephen Basilica, the Buda Castle with its seven hundred year old Mathias Church, an
emblematic monument of the city. We meet the medieval times in visiting the Fisherman Bastion situated on
a terrace near the Mathias Church, giving us a beautiful panoramic view over the city divided by the river
Danube. In the Castle District we will enjoy also one of the city`s symbols: the Royal Palace, being the scene
of battles and wars since the 13 th century. During our tour through Budapest, we will see also the largest
synagogue in Europe – the Dohány Street Synagogue, its bridges and we will enjoy the touch of the nature
in the City Park Lake.
Free time in the Capital of Hungary.
We get together for dinner where the guide will present you the program for the next day.

After breakfast we take the gateway to Romania, passing through Szeged, the third largest city in Hungary.
We drive towards Romania passing Arad, one of the Transylvanian fotresses built in the Vauban star-shaped
style, in the second half of the 18th century. We continue our trip in Hunedoara where we will visit the 15th
century Gothic-Renaissance Castle, known also under the name of Corvinilor Castle. This place will give us
an image of the medieval times by the beauty of its fortification system, by its stories and legends.
We arrive in Sibiu and we take the city tour of Sibiu in order to discover it`s medieval treasure. Our tour will
present us one of the most well preserved medieval citadels in Romania, a capital of history, even an
European Capital of Culture, as it was designed in 2007. We will visit here the Fortifications, the Large
Square, The Smaller Square, The Huet Square, The Council tower, the Evangelical Cathedral with its
famous organ of 6000 pipes, The Bridge of Lies.
Accommodation in Sibiu
After breakfast we drive towards Sighisoara, one of the most beautiful and well preserved medieval cities in
Romania. Here we will make the city tour by visiting the Citadel - a 12th century Saxon edifice located in the
historic center. Still occupied, the citadel is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers the visitors
sights like The Clock Tower, Dracula`s birth house, The Covered Staircase that leads to the wonderful
Church on the Hill.
Transfer to Brasov, a city built by the Teutonic Knights and later taken over by local population. We will walk
from the city walls towards the center, on the way visiting the most important monuments of the city:
narrowest street in Romania, old synagogue, Schei and Catherina Gates and Black Church – built in late XIV
century temple was supposed to be the largest in the east and the most east located cathedral of the
Roman-Catholic church. We continue our trip with Bran, in the nearby of Brasov, the place where we will visit
the famous Dracula`s Castle. Here we will walk through legends and stories that bring here every year
thousands of visitors from all over the world.
On our way back to Sibiu, in the evening, we make a stop in Sibiel, a traditional shepherd village in the
nearby of Sibiu, where we will serve dinner. Here, a local peasant family will invite us to taste the Romanian

Breakfast and departure to Poienari, where we will visit the ruins of the 13 th century Dracula`s castle, situated
in a spectacular landscape. This monument seems to be the historical guardian over the woods and
Transfer to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. After we accommodate, we visit the city with its main
attraction points: The Press House, the Kisselef Boulevard, The Arch of Triumph, the Victoriei Square, the
Victoriei Street, the Revolution Square, the Cotroceni Palace, the Palace of the Parliament. After that we will
take a walk through the “Old Center” of Bucharest, discovering this way a precious piece of history and living
the atmosphere of the “Little Paris”. The local guide will present you the interest points of the city where you
can spend your entire next day
Overnight for two nights in Bucharest.
After breakfast we take the gateway to Bulgaria, driving to Ruse, a beautiful city located on the left bank of
the Danube River famous also for its Neo-Baroque and Neo – Rococo architecture. In the nearby, we will
visit the spectacular rock monastery of Ivanovo, a beautiful image of the 13 th century wall inscriptions and
Departure to Veliko Tarnavo, known for its many churches and as the former main residence of the nobility.
Here we will take a step back in time by visiting the medieval Tsarevets Fortress situated at an altitude of
206 meters on a hill guarding the city. During our visit of the fortress, wich served as the Second Bulgarian
Empire's primary fortress and strongest bulwark from 1185 to 1393, we will admire sites like: The Patriarchal
Cathedral of the Holy Ascension of God, built on the grounds of an Early Christian one, the Baldwin's Tower,
the Execution Rock, the wonderful fortification sustem with its impressive gates.

We return in Bucharest where we accommodate.
Day 7: Bucharest – Transfer to the Airport: return voyage
After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Bucharest. We take the flight back home.
